??? On hauling your bike
If you are going to haul your bike in an enclosed trailer do you leave it in gear or put it in neutral? Do you leave the kick stand up or put it down? Have been told both ways but wonder how most of you do it. Thanks

Leave it in gear and put the side stand down.
Use a Wheel chock and 4 point tie down. It won't be going anywhere. |
leave it in gear with the jiffy stand UP, wheel chock and down with heavy duty rachet straps.

in gear / side stand up dont ratchet front end too tight will sack springs

Haul your bike?
How in hell do you haul it when yer sittin in the saddle? The only time mine's being "hauled" is when it's busted or someone stole it. (probably the latter)
|
Oh... btw. If I ever have to haul a bike, it's sitting vertical with wood blocks under the frame, straps (4) in front pulled tight, 2 in rear to keep sideways movement to minimum. In gear don't hurt any either.

i would ask the dealer. i know it is standing upright and wheel chock like a airplane uses.
|
In gear wheel chock kick stand down. 2 straps in front 2 in rear and i always over do it and put 2 on the side. My trailer will flip pver and bike still attached to it and never move

I haul bikes to numerous rallies every year in my toyhauler. I never even check rather it is gear or not...if it tied down properly, it is not going to move. The bike should be vertical kickstand up. Quality wheel chock of your choice, quality ratchet straps in front, cambuckle strap is fine for the back.
