Default Anyone used the TW5-6 cams in a stock motor?

I have read 100 posts on the TW6-6 bolt-in cams... but not much on the TW5-6? I like the look of them due to their high lift, short duration and early intake close???

Are they bolt in cams? or do they need some compression / displacement?

Thanks for any advice.

Are you able to make any sort of comparison?

I'm looking for info specifically relating to the TW5-6 cams.

I've seen one with that combo, he used a +4 gear in it they do work in a stock motor but the +4 makes them work better with stock compression.

Thanks, I want to find a cam that doesn't require the 4* adv if possible.

Without a key I would go with the 5 as when you are in the mid 40's for intake closing you really need some compression to make them work well, as it will be bleeding off compression so your running compression will be low. If you look at the specs of the se255's you can see they have a high lift and the intake closing is like in the mid to high 20's if I remember right. The problem with that type of cam is they run out quickly, but they come on strong at low rpm. It depends on how you ride is what will make you happy. The woods 5 or 6's will run all the way through the rpm range. Without the +4 key the power will just come on later thats all, you will notice a big change no matter which way you go
