Default 1340 hop-up

!st time thread for me>> I just moved to a 8,000 mile 1998 Heritage. I'm in love! Only problem is I'm coming from a 90 HP beast of a bar-hopping Sportster. Any thoughts on some easy hop-ups to get the Old-girl up and running a lil'.. Already has SE Air Cleaner , V&H longshots.. Will a bolt-in cam make that much of an impact?

Your Heritage must have at least 40lbs of chrome, try stripping that off 1st. Lighter is faster. Just Kidding.

Cams and a head job with tune should get you down the road in good time.

I picked up almost 13 hp with an Andrews ev46 bolt in cam and Heavy breather air cleaner. Gonna do the Screaming Eagle heads this winter.

Default 46 cam

The andrews 46 is a bar hopper cam made for lighter bikes like my fxstc, Not mucch down low...but after 3 grand she really starts pulling pretty good! This winter I'm going for it and putting in a Bob Woods w6h cam that supposed to have monster torque soon as you twist the throttle !!!

I have a '99. Night/day difference was a 42mm mikuni carb. I added and increased flow intake, increased flow exhaust, ignition module and coil another wise addition (still to come) is an Andrews 27V cam swap. You won't recognize your bike after the mikuni (you gotta upgrade the intake and the exhaust in order to get every kick available from the carb).

Mimo.
