Raising Fuel Tank
#11
Handy thats good your not effected by the lift, but I dont see how a tank lift will increase tank capacity? Hmm maybe your tank sits differently on the backbone? Either way by lifting the front up higher it decreased capacity for my tank simply cause the tank is no longer sitting parallel to the ground. Definitely worth it though cause I have noticed a significant decrease with engine temp while the wind blows right over the heads

I never considered the tank capacity before. But I can see where it might present a minor problem for EFI bikes.
If you lift the front that will lift the fuel pump pickup (being toward the front) higher in relation to the bottom of the tank.
While you may or amy not loose total capacity, or in some cases gain a little, your sure to loose some of what a pilot would call 'useable fuel'.
How much that might amount to will largely depend on how much you lift the front.
An inch or so isn't going to be much, but past 2" it will start to have a greater effect in direct relationship to the amount of the lift.
