Won't fit. You need a bigger swingarm and wheel and probably a few other parts.According to hdwheels.com, the fattest tire you can get on there is a 160.

You don't need a new swingarm. You do need a new wheel and you need to cut off your frame horns though. There are a lot of threads on how to do it. Just use the search function.

Don't believe what everyone tells you Harry. That statement is only true for the stock wheel.
Fairly easy conversion MARROCKS.Use the search here and you'll get about a dozen different ways to do it.

dont need new swingarm! obviously you need a wider wheel, 18x5.5 a good choice! you need the narrower belt and pulley off an 06 train! your problem is your rear fender, a deuce will take a 200,not a softail, so i guess you would need the 06 struts and fenders too!and probably an axle spacer,$5 from drag specialties, or just machine your one, dealer sells them too!! pulley side axle spacer probably should be narrower for wider rim??

I stand corrected. Here's a link to a previous thread about this type of conversion: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...-my-02-nt.html There are other threads on this topic if you do a search.

Thanks a lot guys. I already have a 18 x 5.5 rim where the hub was machined down. This was going to be for a custom XS650, but the builder keep pushing back the completetion date, so I got my money back plus this solid wheel. I was planning on getting a Heartland kit but they do not have a kit for 04 models that would take a 200mm tire.
I know I'll have to change the fender, and possibly the belt and pulley.
Please let me know of more ideals.
Thanks

This thread is based on my project
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...-my-02-nt.html

I would think yours would be very similar. Narrow pulley and belt, different rear brake, cut off frame horns, wider fender and some other things. Interesting project to say the least.

Default 200mm rear tire

I just had one put on my 2003 softail. 18x5.5 wheel for an 06 model, bely and pulley from 2006. strutless kustomwerks fender. couple of spaces no machining what so ever. custom seat also.
