I just lowered my bike with 3 1/8" washers, the threads of the bolt don't go all teh way to the top of the nut (I guess thats why there are extenders) I did put red loctite on the threads, has anybody else done this?
got the bike on the ground and it looks like it dropped it a good 1" + and looks bad ***!
should I keep it this way, or take a washer out to get more threads.
where do they sell those? and does it replace the bolt that goes into the shock itself?
E Bay, 2 types one from burn out cycles threads over the original bolt the other you press the shock apart and replace trhe stock bolt with a longer one
i got my bolts off e bay for $20, go to motorcyle parts, american and search for the bolts,in body suspension section
here is how you lower it for the price of the bolts, dont even need a press, just a jack! https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...nty-bucks.html
Followup to this thread, I ended up buying the lowering bolts and following the writeup that Kiwiduce made and it worked like a charm! very easy to do thanks!
