Bike dies going down road
2000 FLSTS with carburetor dies while going down the road. The bike has 84000 miles and has never had this problem until recently. It is like you just hit the kill switch or turned the ignition off and the bike shuts down without any coughing or popping, When this happens I just reach down and turn the ignition off for two seconds then turn it back on while rolling in gear and it restarts and runs perfect for about a mile or so then shuts down again. This happened 77 times in 60 miles on my way home today. I have read similar posts here and was hoping for some fresh advice. Thanks

Yes it seems to only happen on hot days. If it fuel related why only on hot days? I'm leaving for Sturgis soon and hope to have it solved by then. I will check everything from the gas tank to the carb and go from there. I Also thought about changing the ignition switch on the dash.

Well I just took it out for a ride and it kills when coming to a stop or turning though an intersection. It is night and cooler now, I also cracked open the gas cap to relieve any vapor lock. It just seems more electrical than fuel related. Where is the circuit breaker? I checked under the seat and no breaker. Is it under the gas tank? My service manual shows it in a diagram but I cant see it on the bike.

LMAO. I meant leaning as in going into a curve and leaning the bike OVER, lol.
I see how you misunderstood me, it happens pretty often with me, lol.
