Skull passenger pegs hitting exhaust

Skull passenger pegs hitting exhaust
Bought skull passenger footpegs today and when I installed the right side and put it into riding position it was laying against the exhaust. Rotated it both directions one way it would damage the pipe if left on, the other way rubber came in direct contact with the pipe. Anybody else have this problem and is there a solution? Needless to say I put the stock pegs back on.

RE: Skull passenger pegs hitting exhaust
Yep same here. So this is how I solved the problem. I have SEII exhaust and when I put the Skull pegs on it was the same way for me so I lossened the exhaust at the jugs then took the mounting bracket off the back side and slotted the bolt hole that bolts it to the frame then reinstalled it and held it down so the exhaust was away from the foot peg and tightened it up then tightened the exhaust at the jugs and it works no leaks eather.
Your stock exhaust may differ a little but should work useing the same procedure.

Quick Easy fix
Had the same issue,
Remove shaft from the peg by undoing the screw at the end and sliding out.
Pry out rubber piece from the under side of the peg with a screwdriver.
Take rubber piece and shave the rounded surface down until it is flat.
Take peg and grind down the rounded edge of the underside of the peg, closest to the pivot point until it is flat with the rubber part you just shaved.
Bolt back on, peg now clears exhaust with plenty of room to spare.
I would suggest cutting rubber a little neater than I did.
