Riser Gap problem with Carlini's (help)

ok so im on my second set of 1'' risers and i have the same problem...

My carlinis are 1.25'' stepped down to 1'', however, when i mount the risers and put the recommended 15flbs on the top screws there is a 3 to 4
millimiter gap betwen the top and the bottom part of the riser.

im not at home so i cant post a picture, i will put one up when i get there...

i am not as concerned with the looks as i am with the bars coming loose at 70mph...

any thoughts? ideas? is this safe????

If the risers bottom out to each other, are they clamping down on the bar???

That's normal. At least in every bar I've seen it is. Mine have the exact same gap, but they don't budge.

Similar gap on mine. Not a problem with functionality, but could be in appearance. I have no issue with the gap. My opinion - Carlini's products are some of the best on the market.

hmmm interesting... yeah, looks dont bother me, i just wasnt sure that having all of the pressure on those four screws was normal, i figured the force would be distributed along the whole plate.

they are clamping on the bars hard... they dont budge.

If there was no gap, then the risers would be as tight as they every possibly could be, which may not be enough. Small gap is normal, and good.
