Default Tire on backwords

Just noticed that my tire was put on backwords (direction arrow pointing in the wrong direction). Will this cause any problems?

The tread design is normally oriented to channel water a certain direction, and backward from the design is not it. It could be a real problem in wet weather.

Im not sure, but i think the reason for that is that the tread is directional to shed water properly when riding in wet conditions..if it hurts the tire going the wrong direction i could not tell you myself.

I would take it back and have who ever put it on ,, put it on right,,the only problem I can see is you could lose traction in the rain etc,,that of course depends on the tread pattern,,but there is a reason for the arrow,,,

Not trying to repeat others, but they are right.
It's for water shed and proper traction, the arrow on the tire tells you which way it should be for proper channeling of the water and traction, if you get caught in the rain.
This is the pisser, if you have been running the tire for a long time and its a radial , (more than likely its not a radial) it will cause more harm than good to turn it the right direction.

What does plugging it from the inside do? A plug goes completely thru the tire. No need to remove the wheel , just shove a plug thru it. $5 dollars later and your down the road. Secondly why not take it back to who plugged it and tell them to remount it for free?

more than likely you have a rear tire mounted on the front? If that is the case the tire needs to be mounted in the other direction. Front brake tire stress is similar to rear tire acceleration. Following is from Metzeler-Rear tires can be mounted at front wheels?
When producing tires, the top cap is heated with an angle bump on the carcass. To prevent the detachment of the assembled edges the tire has to be mounted (concerning the main stress: acceleration force at the rear wheel or brake force at the front wheel) corresponding to the respective declaration.
Therefore the declaration of the driving direction at the tires sidewall is a very important safety regard and has to be noticed absolute. It is not allowed to mount front tires at rear wheels.
In case you intend to mount a rear tire on a front wheel it has to be assembled contrary to the driving direction declaration (direction of the arrow at the tires sidewall).

Usually, if its done from the inside, its a patch not a plug. I agree with Snook, whoever did the work should do it for free. If they mounted your tire backwards, fixing it would probably be the last thing I used that Indy for.
