Hey anyone aware if there is a differance between the stock Deluxe headlight 7" and the 1 for a nacelle cowl , was told the stock headlight would not fit and I needed to buy a FLH headlight . Still havent started to place Nacelle on but would like to know before I start
why don't u have a look at the OEM headlight replacement for both bikes in the HD page? myabe the specs say something about them or u can spot the difference
The nacelle kit comes with a different headlight I believe in it. That is part of the reason it costs $400. I am plannin gon doing this to my bike as well but I ahve anfother question too. It says that you need an extra something if you are adding passing lamps of fa deluxe. The question is why and what is different with the deluxe passing lamps. I have a set sitting right here ready to go on.
Nacelle kit uses the stock headlight. Only the outer shell and Mounting block are eliminated. It bolts directly to the two nacelle halves. I think what your friend is referring to is the fact that you must use a FLH TRIM RING with the Nacelle kit.
Recognize that there is a Freight Train kit made specifically for Softails. With regard to the passing lamps, it is easy to see the difference between a Deluxe light bar and a Heritage light bar if you compare the two and how they mount to the fork. Do not order the extra parts kit to fit a light bar or windshield as you will not need any of these parts for the FLSTN install (again due to the different light bar mount)
Hey aggro , you had no problem using the stock headlight on your 08 deluxe? mine just doesnt want to sit flush in the housing . you guys have some badass bikes , hate to tell you but copying all of yous ....got an 08 with limited paint edition has 97 miles on it ... after seeing all these cholos I knew what needed to be done .... got 2 months and 11000 dollars to complete before Lonestar Rally
