I have a Softail Standard, 2004. Has foot pegs. I found someone selling Fatboy/Heritage floorboards (with brake master cylinder, heel toe shifter and all), year unknown but look somewhat current from pictures. Could this mate up with my bike?
Just got it.
Dumb question about the brakes. The brake line just is disconnected from the old master cylinder and then attached to the new one. Then bleed the brakes? Anything else?
I also have the heel/toe shifter and boards. Not the linkage though. Need a different size?
I changed my 05 standard to floorboards, it was very easy. You might want to get some new banjo washers though before hooking up the brake line. My FXST shift rod hooked straight to the fatboy shift link. I didn't even have to adjust it.
Coolness, I'm wanting to do the same thing to my Night Train. I'm working on basicaly turning it into a blacked out Harritage. Anyway, I'm glad to hear how easy of a swap it is.
