X-bones: sampson shorties vs vh short shots?

Hello
i am about to purchase either sampson shorties or vh short shots for my 09 xbones.

But i am having a hard time deciding. Can anyone offer up some advice suggestions on one vs the other? For looks....i like both. So, That makes decision tougher.

Finally, how tough is it to change own exhaust? I dont want to shell out $ to a stealer if the job is easy to do

I am on a budget so i want to be 100% sure on what i purchase.

The swap is quite simple as long as you have the proper tools. I'd never pay anyone to change my exhaust. As far as the two pipes, I see many more of the V&H than the Samson shorties. They are both quite LOUD due to their short length. I know that V&H's quality is second to none, but have read mixed reviews of Samson's, although I had their true duals on my ride for a long time without issue.

My 12 year old daughter and i put on my pipes. So how hard do you think it cold be? Listen to the doc and get the tools :icon_dance-cpatch:

My bro Rick and I did the pipes on mine today. I went from cobra turnouts to vh 40" drags....love the sound n look...Rick has vh short shots n they have a unique sound loud growl dont even come close......if you have the tools and take your time it's a 20 minute job. You will pay hd 1.5 hrs labor to the tune of well over 100 bucks to do what can be done at home for just a lil time...with the right tools....be careful not to jam the threads or snap a bolt on the flange....other than that its easy.

thanks everyone for the help/info.

Ill prob lean toward the vh. Lost of info on those and i am able to hear them in person at the stealership. I cant find too much info on the sampsons.....and like most girls in my life, i want to go with a sure thing.

Ill def install them myself...sounds like a 1/2 wrench (1-5 scale) job.

Again thanks for the help.
