2003 Fatboy wide tire?

My '03 fatboy stock tire is a 150 with an aftermarket (but factory) rim. What would be the widest rear rire I could put on this without needing a new: fender, swingarm, rim, etc....?

Thanks for any good info.

According to Metzler the widest you can go is 160 without doing some mods and that is what I went with. It fits pretty tight in the fender and also caries a heavier weight rating just in case you do any two up heavy weight traveling like I do. Go to the Metzler USA site and you can download a guide of tire availability and mods needed to go bigger.

Maybe a 160Metz will fit..... Anything else will hit the fender.

What do you think about these?

or

how can I know for sure what will fit besides what the tire company recommends? Most Ive looked at recommend OEM size.

If HD sells them then I would talk to the stealer and get their advise on what would fit but the 170/80 which is the next wider tire Michelin lists ,I think, would be too fat and short therefore the Metzler would still be my choice and Motorcyclesuperstore.com has the best price on them just make sure the the build date is not more than about 1 year old.
