Default Wiring up LED taglights, Need Help!

I have two tag lights, each has a red wire and black wire. Do I run all four wires (2 each) up the swingarm and splice them in? Or, do I bring those four wires and splice them into two wires and run the two wires up and splice them in?

2nd question, where do I splice them in? Under the seat, under the rear fender close to the taillight. I want to splice them into the run light wire so they illuminate the license plate while riding.

thanks

If they are running lights splice them together, i would solder and shrink wrap them, and then tie them into the blue wire under the seat that goes to the rear wiring harness.

So Drew, would I take the 4 wires (2 red, 2 black) and splice them into one wire at the plate and then route the one wire up the swing arm to tie into the blue wire? Or, splice the 4 wires into two and run two wires up?

thanks

Just run the red up to the blue wire. Let me run outside and check to be sure, but I am quite certain it is blue. The black wire just needs to be grounded to the frame somewhere. For my running light I think I ran them both up the frame and grounded it on the ground point by the front of the seat. I'll be right back, I gotta check to be sure.

Ok, it is the blue wire on the rear harness. My ground is run up to the ground in front of the seat. I only have one running light run, but I don't see a problem running them together. I used a quick splice to tap into the blue wire and ran a red to the fuse box from the quick splice just in case.

Drew, any chance of getting a pic of the wire and quick splice?

Here are the pics.

I don't remember what the red wire coming out of the quick splic is. I called my buddy but no answer yet. I'll let you know. The blue wire is on the rear section of the plug for the wiring harness that goes to the rear. I think the red is an additional ground and all I had was red wire at the time.

So you ran the red wire from the running light up to the blue wire and spliced it in, then ran the black wire from the running light to the ground screw in front of the battery, then another ground from the splice to the fuse box?

There is already a plate light as part of your taillight. I would tap into that circuit there instead of running another 2 feet of wire. I know its kind of tight back there though. If your not good with an iron, maybe you are better under the seat.
