Default Fat Boy with Heritage Bars

A friend of mine put Pre-09 Heritage Bars on his 2002 Road King and loved them. I decided to do it also on my 2005 FLSTFI-AE....An easy swap out, everything fit well. They are much more comfortable! About 3-4" higher and almost the same subtracted width. They were $74.95 from HD and $50 labor, well worth it to me.

All about the ERGO of the bike.. I'll agree the Heritage is the most comfortably set up of seat and bar height of any of the bikes I've had...

They'll work fine. I have that set-up on my Heritage.

Hey CJ...Nice job on the Fatty. I hated the stock bars on my 09 as well. So uncomfortable plus I didn't like the look.

I had my mind set on Heritage bars but figured I'd go for a sitting at my local Indy shop here. I tried a bunch of different bars looking for style and comfort. Finally , after an hour and a half, went with 12.5" Wild1's. I know it's all personal preference but I have to say it's so comfortable to ride with these (wrist position etc). For me, they are more comfortable than the Heritage bars. Putting the different bars on the bike and "feeling" them made the decision easy.

Here a pic with the 12.5" Chubbys to give you an idea.

Enjoy your ride!

Resurrecting an old thread here, but I have a 2003 Fatboy and am thinking of getting Heritage bars (and possibly a Heritage seat also). There are now two different Heritage bars, they changed in 2009. Would anyone recommend the newer vs the older ones?
