4"or 6" Risers on fatboy lo
#11
Hope I am not intruding here cause I don't have a lo just the FB model. I have been talking to the dealer about the 4" pullback risers #56269-09. He insists that I will need the clutch cable 38666-07C and a transmission side gasket 36805-06.
I keep looking that the current set up and can't see where I will need the cable. If anything the clutch looks longer than the brake does now.
Are the Lo models setup different than the regular Fat Boys? I would like to get the risers and do the work myself if I can do so without getting into the cable. I am not so confident I could do the work in that area.

I was talking to my local parts guy yesterday about just this... I mentioned this thread , and he nodded and said
Yeah, I can see how 4" would fit fine... could maybe even squeeze 6"... let's try it out, so you can save a few dollars...

Hi
I replaced the risers on My 2011 FB Lo to the 4" pullback risers & didnt need to change any cables or wiring.
The 4" didn't give Me enough so I went for the 6" pullback risers & only had to replace My brake-line & have the ABS reset, the wiring was looped under the tank I just cut the cable tie & they reached no worries, the clutch cable I just re routed it & the Throttle cables are fine.

not a Lo here either, but i put 4" pullbacks on my 07 FB and didn't need any different cables or wiring.. i didn't pull the fuel tank either. there was enough slack that i didn't need to. now if i went with the 6", i would have had to pop the tank up. i believe the stk cables would have still been long for the 6". there was/is no issues with the bars hitting the tank, though i did turn the bars slooowly the first time to make sure.
To add to covering fuel tank, DO NOT forget to cover the frt fender with a thick blanket..
Having a second person to help hold the bars is highly recommended. it makes tightening the upside down riser clamp bolts a whole lot easier..
