My Version of the Coil Relocation
I finally got around to relocating my coil and yanking out that seat post. I love how it cleans the profile of the bike up and the coil relo turned out pretty nice IMHO.
I fabed a backet from 3/4" x 1/8" metal plate in order to mount the coil in the Air Wing horn cover. I originally intended for the wires to come out of the sides or bottom, but after getting my plug wires and found they were too short, I had to find a way to make it work. The wires are custom lengths and nonreturnable, plus the bike show is Saturday, so I turned my horn cover upside down. I actually like it better the more I look at it. I ordered from US Kool Lines and the turn around was two days. They are the ChromeXS braid and match my other cables pretty well. Anyway, tell me what you think, here are the pics:

Well played, very creative. I just put it in front of the spash guard. Yanked the seat post as well. I get a little ping when I get on it hard - not sure if that has anything to do with the seat post removal. Romp it a few times and listen real good. Could just be me?
Looks nice, good job.

You moved the coil under the splash guard? How long are the spark plug wires? Let me know as I can't put mine where the horn goes.
