Default A couple of mods to the fatty... (pics) Audio review update (video included).

3 new mods,

1.-MoCo round air filter cover.
2.-LED passing lamps.
3.-HD Boom Audio speakers.

*If you get the LED auxiliary lamps, also get the LED head lamp (or some other white light source of illumination).

*Don't get their speakers, they suck, ridiculously low maximum volume (they make me love my Thunderheader pipe even more). They are the prettiest out there (they don't look like cheese shredders, but who cares when you're after decent audio)...

*Do get the air filter cove, I really like it.

Mimo.

Ps: Sorry, the bike is dirty.

Mimo,

any thought on raising the speakers up to the handlebars? Maybe that will make the sound more direct/better, at least from a volume perspective???

But those speakers do look cool down there.. never thought of putting them there.

Thanks Matt, look, I wanted a stealth setup, I hate the idea of a fixed system against a deattachable one but since I liked the speaker's design I thought it was ok to fix 'em in the crash bar, I even drilled small holes in it to run the wires internally. Now, IF I decide to keep 'em I'm not sure if I want them in my handlebars, I don't like the "Mickey Mouse" ears theme for my bike

Mimo,

Understood on the Mickey Mouse look ... can you hear the tunes good enough? or is it really drowned out?

My buddy just bought a set of Cycle Tunes from the Dealer... they sounded loud in the dealership, and I was listening to a set of the HD ones.. they seemed to sound good in there.

I may have to find out (putting mine against some other similar equipment) if I have a bad amplifier, mine sound really drowned out... Even at street speeds the speakers flat out against the pipes, I'm lucky if I can guess the song playing...
