how to tell if front is lowered
 

I have a 1999 Softail Springer I know the rear is lowered but how do you tell if the front has been? If mine has it was VERY little..

Never seen specs on height's..

Maybe find another stock bike like Urs in Ur area and compare and or measure it to Urs.

Wouldn't think one would mess with a springer front end....

Can you lower a springer front end? If so how? seriously!...lol...I've always wondered about it. I'm very dumb when it comes to a springer. But man i would love to have one.

I know there are springer front end rake kits available... And those will lower the front end...But will give your bike a different look/raked stance.

They sell complete 2" under springer front ends. Every once in a while you'll find them on Flea-Bay that someone bought and decided it was too much and went back. You might get them cheap but good luck, everything springer has a premium.

Under the top set of springs there will be a machined solid spacer about 1-1/4" long that looks like the springs. The front of the rocker will also have a nose up attitude.This is lowered.G.

Nice thanx for posting!! Now it makes sense to me also... I must say i do definately like how the "rounded" factory springer front end looks (like the one pictured above) compared to those "squared" after-market springer sets look. Makes a huge difference in appearence.

Ok thanks for the info. it doesnt appear that my front is lowered..I did find a kit in J & P that lowers that front 1 1/2 " for around $150...Just incase anyone was looking for one
