Default Fork chirp

When I shift the weight on my bike (like when shifting gears) my fork (or something in front of me)'chirps'
Has anyone out there experienced this?

My clutch squeaks sometimes when it's colder out. Since you mentioned shifting gears, it's the first thing I thought of.

Squeaky chirp from the forks under light compression? I have that. I get it the worst over light stutter bumps like rail road crossings.

Looks like neither of you have done anything about it...

I rode all summer with no problem, the last couple of times I took my bike out for a quick spin (winter is here but I just HAD to try out my new forward controls before putting her up for the season!) this damn CHIRP appeared.

Couldn't nail down the cause or place. It occurs when I use the clutch, when the gear engages, (a la Capt Woody) which is the light compression moment like what Dan describes, so I dunno.....

Fwiw, mine is completely unrelated to clutch use - will happen with clutch engaged, disengaged, or in friction zone. Haven't been able to nail down whether it's actually coming from the forks or something else in the front end. Done it for a year and a half since I've had the bike. Never gotten worse.

Yep, I've heard it too on my Deluxe.
Just another part of the **** modern build quality.

My EG has done it since i bought it. I even had the front end rebuilt with a race-tech setup and it still chirps.
