Default Bike Diagram and nomenclature

I've looked around the site (maybe I missed it) and could not find one. Does anyone know where I might get an exploded diagram of a bike with it's general nomenclature so I know what people are talking about when they refer to certain parts? I have a Fat Boy Lo but even just generally would be nice.

My dealer lost my owners manual too, and I've been waiting for another one to arrive for a while now. Thanks for any links, etc.

Since it's good to have anyway, I would suggest you get yourself both the shop manual and parts manual for your bike. Both are worth every dime you'll spend on them if you wrench at all.

Thanks. Do recommend anyone to buy the shop and parts manual from? (As you can probably tell, it's my first bike.)

Only get the factory authorized books. You can get them from the dealer or if the bike is a little older maybe find them on ebay. The parts book is loaded with exploded drawings of every part of the bike and lists the part number for everything.

They're always available on Ebay. I got my parts manual from Lakeshore Harley's ebay site.

They are expensive, and they're worth every nickel over the time you'll have your bike
