Default Hypercharger or Screamin Eagle heavy breather air cleaner

I have a 2009 Softail custom. I had drag pipes installed with the upgraded air cleaner kit keeping the stock cover. I did lose some power but I love the sound. Its so damn loud. Someone told me i can get some power back by getting more air to the motor. I can't decide what air cleaner to put on. I think the SE heavy breather from harley looks great but i really like the hypercharger too. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Ride safe and hard.

The hypercharger is not all that great of an option. From what has been posted on here, they don't flow real well. I think they look a little silly honestly, If you have already upgraded the A/C, I would just go to an open cover or something....

I agree with Brett and Schaub. My bike had one on it when I bought it and it was junk. I think the SE would be a better option

Hypercharger is a NO NO!
Go with a SE or big sucker or do so research here and go with what you want. Don't forget to do the ECM for the more air flow to the motor.

just to join in on the bashing of the hypercharger, it will blow oil and fuel all over the place in a 25-30mph headwind. it sucks more air then the s/e that came on the bike when I bought it. it leaned out my a/f just enough to get rid of a hicup that I had with the s/e. I always thought they looked cool, but I'm a younger(for the brand) hd rider and remember seeing them on bike all the time growing up.

I've got a custom hypercharger for sale cheap if you want it.

I dont like hyperchargers either, but think they looked cool 15 years ago.

You didnt say what "upgraded A/C kit" you're running, but if it's a hi flo or the K&N RK kit, you've got more than enough air coming in already. everything from here out on that part will be cosmetic.

You will not get power back you lost from putting on your pipes by adding more air, lol.

You didnt say you had one, so I would recommend an inexpensive tuner. need to make good use of the air you already have coming in.
