Default Rear Fender

Can i run a 2007 and newer fatboy fender on my 2001 fatboy? I really like the look of that fender. My FB has 160mm metzler tire on it right now. I know i have to do some mods to make it fit. I did see alot of kits out there for the 200 tire, but dont like the fenders they come with. Iʻm trying to keep the stock look with a wider tire Mahalo Hawaiin

So.... you want to put a wide tire fender on a narrow tire bike. Is that correct? The problem I see is that the narrow fender struts will not acomocate wide fender. That being said, anything is possible. A little cutting and welding and you're in business.

I think you'll have to go with a wide rear end kit to change it to 200mm. Not only does the 200mm tire have to fit, but when Harley changed the Fatboys from 160 to 200 on the rear, they ran into trouble with the drive belt. The 2007 Fatboy has an offset wheel, and in 2008, they made the drive belt narrower and moved the wheel towards the center.
