So you guys are saying the Blackline, which seems to be a collection of parts originally made for other models, has its own frame, different than every other softail? Because I can put a fatboy seat on my standard, even though they are FX and FL frames, so how is it a Blackline has its own unique frame?

My bet is any seat that will fit any other softail of the same year will fit your blackline.

You might also check Ebay for seats. I recently bought, and then re-sold, a like-new LePera Bare Bones for my FXST for $145. I'd never pay over $200 and rarely over $150 for a seat and, in that range, I can easily buy a like-new Corbin, Mustang, LePera or even Danny Gray. OEM Harley seats can be as little as $50.

 

No, the frame is the same. The seat doesn't connect to the frame on the sides like my last wife's 2003 Fatboy; it has one bolt on the fender.

After cutting off the passenger pad, there is another hole you can connect the seat to. My seat is custom, so I don't know if the locations of these fender holes are standard.

 

xjayx bike looks awesome and i want that danny gray seat. what one do i order ?what model bike is it for and did you have to customize anything to make it fit?

 

The Danny gray is for a heartland wide tire kit, but a 06 and up FXST seat should fit perfect. The seat I have is called the butt crack solo seat. heres a link to the seat that should fit yours click 06-up softail. Love my seat, I would recommend getting a gel seat if it fits in your budget.

Do you have a partnumber for that? It fit over the ECM?
