Default noise in fuel tank

I have a 2006 softail standard fuel injection. It had a rattling or hissing noise coming from inside the gas tank so i changed the fuel pump. It still has the noise. the bike runs fine but it is hard to start. What could the problem be?

It sounds the old pin hole in one of the internal fuel lines. It's a common problem with Softails and a pretty easy fix. When you did the pump, did you change the lines? They develop a small pin hole from rubbing the inside of the tank. There are a bunch of posts on it if you search for fuel line pin hole.

+1 on the pin hole for the hissing. Pain in the a$$ to pull that whole thing out again.

Sounds like you may have dropped a shoe string in the tank trying to get your calculator watch out.
