Cholo's installed

I installed th pipes yesterday. Once again, a couple of tight spots. All in all I am happy with the looks and the install. I stripped the clamp on the left side that connects to the "U" pipe. Going to go to Tacoma screw and see if they hav e a clamp like that. It wasnt bad but it had an exhaust leak so I want to get it a little tighter. Getting the rear head pipe tightened is quite the fun time also. Waiting on my power vision power commander to get here from fuel motor before I can really do anything with it. Being the person I am, I think these pipes look great on everyone else's bikes. Now they are on mine I'm having second thoughts. I love em but I think those fatcats drvtwin has are pretty bad ass. Just me though, I go thru cars and women like most people go thru laundry. Here's a few crappy cell phone pics. My wallet is hoping these pipes will stay on for quite a while!

Looks good. I'm with you I love the look but not for me

No second thoughts bro .They look bas ass, keep em.I used ultra copper on all my fittings (mufflers, cross over pipe)This helps avoid any leaks.I do not like the Samson clamps either. The only Samson clamp I used was the one at the cross over.I went to Harley and bought 2 new torcha clamps for the mufflers.Much stronger and better. They were just a little too big and bulky for the cross over pipe area.Other wise I would have used one their as well.

Thanks malingerer. Ulta copper can be found at auto parts stores I'm guessing? Def not a fan of the Samson clamps.

High temp RTV silicon is the best thing to use at the slip joints. Apply it to the female side so when you slide the male pipe in it does not get squeezed out.
Should have waited on the 42's. Those would have been bad ass. Looks good.

I didn't mind the clamps. The only thing I was not happy with was the tight radius of the rear head pipe and the black brackets.

It is tight. I dont have any skin left on my knuckles after this job.

They look great. I would offer to sell you my fatcat but someone else already snagged it. Cholo's are the most involved exhaust isntall I have ever done. Just take your time. I'm an ultra copper guy too. I got a buddy to help and it took half the time.

Diggin the long look of the pipes. Im thinkin about goin with the 36's or the 39's. Prob do the swap this winter. Since I have 33's all that is required is the longer pipe on each side correct?
