80 inch EVO motor
I have a 97 fxstc and have installed a new high flow aircleaner and a thunderslide kit. I have plans to install a single fire ignition but my question is what other upgrades have you guys made to your Evo motors ??

Never owned one, but most guys I know that have them do cams..
With cams, pipes and A/C those suckers will move out and kept up with the 88's and 96er's |
There's an Evo classic forum on here. Might want to post this thread there for a better response.

Address the cam bearing. There are not many weak points on an Evo, but the cam bearings often fail between 30 and 50K. Cheap fix unless you wait..... :)

Shave the head a little, shorter head gasket, andrews cams, ignition, jet the carb, and a good set of pipes and it will have no issues keeping up. While your in there, maybe re-ring the stock pistons.

Also, change the lifters around 40K. I know this from experience. Do this when you change the cam bearing.
