Got Bubba's QD, Need help!
 

Hey all,

Just got my set of Bubba's quick release saddlebag kit in today (pn# QRSY2K-D03) and I will try and explain this the best I can. I got a little puzzled looking at the instructions. I have passenger footboards so I had to install the saddlebag relocation kit (which removes the OEM lower saddlebag bracket). Looking at Bubba's system, they use a chrome turn knob screw which tightens to the old OEM bracket I replaced with the relocation kit and footboards. Do I need to remove the relocation kit and reinstall the OEM parts? If so, does the saddlebag down bar line up with the OEM bracket?

Just a little confused because no instructions when you have passenger footboards and relocation kit installed.

As I recall, they make a different kit if you've got the pass. floor boards.

It's a different part number for the whole kit SMSgt B indicates PN:QRSY2K-03 but for floorboards it calls for PN:QRSY2K-033

Thanks for the info everyone,

At the time I bought these, Bubba's website was down so I couldn't check the PN. I bought my kit new from Ebay from a guy that sold his FLSTC prior to install. I just checked Bubba's website and I should have PN QRSY2K-D034 (for HD detach sideplates). I don't think Bubba's bakes will exchange them for me so As someone stated, just use a bolt.

You could see about just getting the lower crows foot from bubba's as well.

i bought the first kit then bought a 33.00 additional floorboard kit also they will sell just the few pieces you need

Gotta love their service,

I called today and Bubba stated he will send me the correct kit and then I will send him my kit back...only have to pay S/H. Thanks everyone for you input and will post some pics when installed.
