Will a stock 2010 Deluxe seat fit on a 2007 Deluxe
 

Will the stock seat from a 2010 Deluxe fit on a 2007 Deluxe.I know mine bolts to the rear fender with 2 bolts.But I know some of the earlier Deluxe's with after market seats bolt down by the fender struts.How about the stock seat.I would like to sell mine to a forum member for a good price.But don't want to sell her something that won't work.Some one has already said the 2005-2011 is the same seat.Just looking for some more opinions. Not sure, but I thought they changed some things aroundnin 08, not sure if the seat got effected.

The stock seat on an 07 Deluxe bolts on the fender. It should fit. Just check with HD to be sure.

I have an 04 fatboy with 08 rear deluxe fender and I have run several deluxe seats (3 seats- 05's and up) and they have all worked. I doubt there is anything different about them.

I have an 07 Deluxe and it bolts on with 2 bolts at the back of the seat, I junked the standard seat and fitted a 2010 Heritage seat, much more comfortable, but this is coming off in favour of a C&C.

I usually go to a manufacturer's site to see the year ranges as a check. For example, Mustang Seats shows the stock 1-piece model to fit Softail Deluxe 2005-2011 in their pulldown menu. It is a real good indicator that it will work. It's good too because it shows other models that it will fit like:

Harley-Davidson® Standard Rear Tire Softail Heritage Springer 2000-2005 & Deluxe 2005-2011 & Springer Classic 2006-2007 & Heritage Classic 2007-2011 Vintage One-Piece.

I have a Mustang Cobra seat for sale for the same listed bikes above, and I have 2 mounting kits for it though, either the chrome 2 bolt fender tab, or the fender strut L-brackets, the Mustang rep told me that it would fit the older Heritage models (2000-up) with the L-brackets on the same seat. Just ask the buyer how their seat mounts to be sure.
