Need Pics and advice on a Fork bag

So, I had a Swing arm bag and didnt like it on my bike. But, Id like something to carry tire gauge, sun glasses and maybe a detailing rag, etc. in. So, Im looking at a Fork bag. Problem is I dont know what size to get and I dont want it scratching my Forks. I would like to mount one above the headlight, but I have heard that it will scratch, especially the Powder coating on the forks. I have also thought about mounting one on the bottom of the Frame behind the Front Fender. But Im running a 21 and the front is lowered. So, if I hit a bump I dont want the bag hitting the bottom of the Fender and scratching that.

Need pics of some bags that you guys have on top of the headlight and on the bottom, on the frame behind the Front Fender.

Also give me some bag sizes, as to what will work on top of the headlight and on the bottom of the frame.

Thanks

Forgot to mention in my PM that the Leatherworks bags have dual slits in the back, so the straps can be mounted horizontally or vertically.

Thanks lucky, I just dont know if there will be room to fit a bag on the bottom of the frame behind the front fender. Looks like it may rub. Im gonna take some measurements tomorrow and see what will work.

I ordered mine from fox creek leathers. They make quality products and different styles to choose. I am happy with mine.

Initially the bag I have mounted on top of my headlight was bought for the bottom of the frame. When i got it I realized it was too big to go on the bottom of the frame even with the stock fatboy fender(shorter) and 16" rims.

My forks and all are chrome so I am not concerned about scratching the powder coat. I guess you could get some 3m clear protectant tape like on teh rear fender for the seat and put that on teh forks and headlight to keep it from getting scratched but i am really at a bit of a quandary here. I could not imagine having my tool bag to stuff full of things I need.

I had one on when I first got my bike ( still for sale) I didn't like it above the light, so I moved it under it on the light bar.

I'll try to find a pic

Don't know the name. It's big enough for what I need and It hasn't scratched anything yet after a year.

My buddy has a bag under his light bar and it hits his fender on hard breaking.

I have mine above the light. I just punched a few extra holes in the strap so I could cinch it down real tight. So far no rubbing or any other problems.

I have a couple fork bags and I just can't bond with them. I put the left side toolbox on my bike and stuffed it with tools amd I really like it. ( Pic in signature )

I decided that I would install the right side toolbox for sunglasses, cell phone , flashlight, wallet and whatever. Just put it on tuesday so I'm not sure I like the look yet ?

They are kinda like mini saddlebags me thinks.
