Default Common year range for 1990 Fatboy parts?

I'm restoring a one owner, 1990 Fatboy. I want to take it back to showroom condition will all OEM parts such as brake system and lines, fork lowers, primary cover, wiring harness, etc.

What year ranges for OEM parts can I use? I've read 1990-1997 all have the same parts and also that 1990-1994 use the same part numbers. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Hal

Default I think you are right

1st FLSTF,
I think you got that right...I have always heard that 1990-97 Fatboys are basically identical and parts from any year are just bolt-ons. You mention similar part #s for 90-94, that's news to me. My brother and frequent riding partner has owned his 90 Fatboy since 1994...going on 18years, it is still amazing and looks and rides like a much younger bike. It sits in his garage now next to a 2012 Road Glide...and I am sure the 90 will be there after the Glide is gome too!

If you don't get enough response here, the guys in the EVO section can probably better answer your EVO specific questions.

1990-94 maybe...many changes starting in 96...different wiring, speedometers went from mechanical to electric, different hand-controls , rear fender changed to accommodate different fuse-box, clutch changed a few times during those years...if it ain't the same part number...it ain't the same part...some parts will work no problem...some not so much...research any parts you are using from different years...and in some cases the newer parts not only will work, but are improved over the older part so you want to "upgrade"

Hello,

I've got a spare set of these,
If you're still looking for them.
