Default Rear Signal Delete and Tail Light wiring?

I need some help trying to figure out how to completely remove the rear turn signals from my 2011 FB Lo. I have some bags I want to put on but they will not fit with the turn signals on the bike. Currently, I have the stock rear signals and the D2Moto low profile tail light that has the built in turn signals. It was wired by my dealer and at the time they said there was no way to remove the signals completely without causing problems.

After checking with Custom Dynamics, they say their new intergrated tail light / signal will work on the 2011s as long as you dont mind a fast blink of the signal indicators on the dash. I am hoping not to spend more money. On the D2Moto website, it doesnt list 2011 as compatible with their light but I'd like to try before spending more money.

Can guys with electrical knowledge and experience answer a few questions?

1) If I completely unplug the turn signals from the tail light I dont get errors but they will not work in the tail light either so is there a way to bypass having the actual signals and fool the ECM into thinking they are there?

2) there are only 2 wires from the main wiring harness on the bike that run to each turn signal. The way it is wired now is one of each signal is wired to the tail light assembly and the other continues to the OEM signal. What is the one for that continues to the OEM signals and can it be wired to the tail light or something else?

3) do I need a load equalizer and if so where does it wire in to the setup?

4) Do I have any other options or has anyone been successful doing this on a 2011?

The 1st pic is after removing the tail light assembly and shows the 2 purple wires running to the correct left and right turn signal wires for the tail light so the built in signals flash with the OEM signals when activated. The 2nd pic is the purple wires from the OEM signals running to the tail light assembly from under the fender.

Thanks everyone.

One of these units should do the trick. Just give them a call to verify your model.

I have looked at the Kury products and the website says both this product and their Panacea tail lights will only work thru the 2010 softail models.

Get a Easy Bracket Laydown License plate kit. It relocates the turn signals to the side of the license plate bracket and gets them completely out of the way. It looks pretty good too. The bracket is great quality and from Great Bike Gear was only 75.00 shipped to my door. Here's a pic along with the sissy bar I added. I can take more pics if you want.

Well I broke down and ordered a new tail light for my LO so I can delete the rear turn signals. I ordered the Custom Dynamics Gen 2 integrated tail light. While I was at it, I got the LED inserts for my front turn signals as well to go with the new HD LED headlight I bought myself for Christmas. Now I hope it hurries up so I can put the rear fender back on and ride some.
