S&S 570 Easy Starts, Easy Install Complete.
Yep, Completed my first Harley Cam swap. Bought the cams (S&S 570), gaskets, bearings, and cam bearing tool on E-Bay of course ($450). Pretty easy swap. Only goof was to remove the cams on Fri. night and go out on Sat morning and find all my oil had drained out of the tank into the drain pan, so I put new oil also, even though the old only had 800mi on it. Started it up Sat night, Now that's a HARLEY idle, sounded louder and more forceful even though I didn't do anything new to the exhaust YET. Loaded a new Power Vision Map from Fuelmoto and took it for a very short 45 degree ride. What a difference!! Can't wait for some warmer weather to really give er a go. It starts alot easier on the starter also, doesn't have that almost kickback noise when it's hot.

Son did the 551's last yr in he new 10 Street Gl. and loves them.
With the 570 lift its close to the max of lift without doing more motor mods.
and with the 40* intake close U'll come on the cam a little later, But it looks like U ride solo and U'll probably not notice it..
When U go though the gears U wont feel it at all.
Only when U putt around 2 - 2.5K rpms U'll might be a little soft, but still probably better then stock.
Are U changing out the Pipe system,? with that cam a good 2-1 system will help Ur TQ in the lower 1/2 of the RPM's.

Dude, you hit the nail right on the head. Put in the 570s and just got a tune. I'm pullin pretty decent numbers. It comes on a little later than the stock cams. Its not as jumpy off the initial throttle, but damn does it pick up speed quick. This was where I needed it when passing cars. I definitely feel the lope and the cams wanting to push past the low speed and low RPM range at 2.5k, just gotta shift a little differently.
