Default stripped spark plug hole on a 2002 harley fat boy

My spark plug just blew out of the head, I am getting it fixed with a time sert. Is this the best way to do it? How long will this repair last? Is there a better way of doing it?

As long as it`s not overtightened and stripped again, it`ll last the life of your engine.

What do you tighten them to? How many ft. lbs or inch lbs? My service manual says 12 to 18 lbs but I dont have a torque wrench that goes that low I only have an inch torque wrench so I multiply that by 12 so I torque them to 170 inch lbs. Mabey I should go to 150 inch lbs. Is that OK?

I've never used a torque wrench on plugs.
Always went by feel. Snug tight without going full retard.
