Default FatBoy Lo Rebuilt

I posted Monday that I had finished my rebuild after hitting a deer in December.

Other than fixing what was damaged, I installed TW-777 cams, SE Heavy Breather intake, a HD engine guard, Profile Low front suspension, HD Brawler seat and SE plug wires and a HD billet shift linkage.

Here's the pics, still not very clean though:

not bad for doing it your self rambo. you should take that cover off the A/C to let it breath.

Thanks Leech. I wondered how much that cover might restrict air flow.. One thing though, it doesn't fit tight around the filter.. there's a space all the way around.. and with it facing forward, I would imagine that air is forced into the slots filling the cavity around the filter.

Good job fixing her up.
What do you think about those TW-777 cams?
Big difference?
Opinions?
I'm asking because they are the ones I had in mind to put in my Lo.

That is the only problem with the heavy breather. even though it looks like it is ramming the air into it, a normal stage 1 filter with a large surface are can actually flow more air. So if it were me i would take it off to give it the best chance possible to operate. I also have one and debated actually running it pointed up due to this reason, so it has a high amount of surface area perpendicular to the air movement across. But now i am rambling about a discussion i would have at work and this forum should not be like work.

HA!! Maybe someone with more knowledge than me can test one to see how much it flows like it is now with the cover, without the cover, and then pointed up.

rrambo, the bike looks great and I am glad you got her up and running again. How do you like those cams? I am caving up for the 107" and cant decide between the 777 or 555's because the bike runs pretty much year round and want some reliability.

Jamie at FuelMoto told me that if you plan on doing head work or larger displacement, go with the 777's. So that's what I did.. I run year round also..
