I was riding back from sturgis with a back pack attached to my back rest and it wore a hole into my fender. I'm not a paint guy so I don't know if I can save this or its to far gone. If anyone could give me some advice that would be awesome.

What is the color? Unless it is a show bike, I would just go to an auto parts store and get a paint stick that you use for rock chips and such.

Welcome to the forum.

Clean it and put a dab of clear nail polish on it and forget about it. Only reason I do the nail polish is to prevent rust, not for looks.

In HD shop can sell you a little bottle with the paint for you bike, you can "repair" with the touch up paint.
