Need help deciding, so... pole time

Hey guys,
I am having some trouble deciding on some seat options. I have narrowed it down to the Lepera bare bones and I love the look of the diamond stitching and piping but I am not sure on color combos. The bike is in the sig and most of you have seen it so help me out. The only real colors on the bike are black, satin silver, and red on the tank badges and the patent banner on the oil tank. SO.....
Black with Black stitching
Black with Red stitching and piping
Black with Silver stitching and piping
If anyone is so bold and skilled there are plenty of pics in my album if anyone feels like trying to pshop these options too.

here is a quick one that I just took for reference. Sorry for the quality still at work...

From lookin at ur scoot think I'd go black without alot of stitch at the butt cheek area.

kozy22 04-05-2012 07:11 PM

I wouldn't do red. It won't fit the look.

I'd go either gray stitching and piping, or black stitching with gray piping

I would get something plain, solid black so as not to Scream...Hey, I am the Seat and take away from the rest of the bike.

Silver stitching and no piping. Solid colors are to plain and boring. If you are going to dump the coin then get what you want and something that you don't see on ever other sled. That's why I like the Bare Bones I have. The colors go with my bike and every other bike I see doesn't have one like it.

Your bike is all black so keep it simple, black stitching and piping. Don't go wild, instead keep it simple. That way, when people take a closer look they can appreciate all the little things that went into making your bike look so good.

Why must you give US all the hard decisions? Like Branner, I'd say keep it simple. If you'd like some color you could go with contrasting stitching or piping, but not both. Prolly silver on your bike. :{)

LOL because you guys are good at the hard decisions.... I believe everyone is right and keeping it simple is the way to go. I am up for options other than whats listed so if anyone has any opinions I am all ears.

Black and Black!

No stitch design. Keep it simple. Do the silver piping to bring it all together.

NDBadlands4-2 04-06-2012 09:18 AM

Put a little contrast in the seat.

Poolguy 04-06-2012 10:05 AM

Maybe the cross stitched in like the One on your air cleaner cover would look good.?.? Just a thought

Motown Strag 04-06-2012 10:15 AM

If you are asking for opinions then I dont think contrast diamond stitch is right for your bike with the emblems, covers and look you have going. Its all a matter of personal taste though but if you are dead set on it then I would think black matte vinyl with black diamond stitch and no piping. I think a contrast stitch on the seat is going to take the eye off the other styling elements you have...it will disrupt the flow of the bike.

Nice looking bike

just my $.02

Motown you make a very good point. The derby cover I love but the aircleaner cover was just a grab. There are going to be changes down the line I am sure, ie. pipes are about to be the D&D fatcat etc. so I guess we shall see where she is at right before it's seat time but I am tending to be leaning towards the no diamond stitch and a matching silver/gray piping.

Also- those of you with the bare bones.. Did you notice a significant height and distance away from the bars difference between it and the stock seat

ghostrider69 04-06-2012 12:18 PM

Yeah, the Bare Bones moved me down a good 1 1/2" and back a good 2". But that is compared to a stock Deluxe seat.
