Hydaulic Tensioners shot at 20k!!!

Totally agree. In fact Harley tried to hide the problem in bikes like mine in saying they fixed the problem with the hydralic tensioners. They still sell the update hydralic kit with only the front roller chain and leave the link in the back. If the back linkchain sprockets were replaceable (like the front) on the cams for the roller chain you would not need to replace cams

Link chain at 30k. Maybe 20 K left. Roller at 90K. Rollers rolling on inner center. Deep as the grooves will get.

I now have 65k on my bike. I will check them again this coming winter. Should have something north of 85k by then.

I followed the refer back over here.
This was a Screaming Eagle kit, the instructions that cam with the kit said to use the old chain. I was not trying to be cheap, if they had told me to buy a new chain and cam, then I would have gone a different way, gears, or gone with the new inner chain.
I am not whinning, I am just passing on my experience.
This was done over a year ago and the kit was fairly new, and I was one of the first to install it and write about it.
