My 2000 Softail classic has footboards which I'd love to get rid of and switch over to pegs.Nobody seems to have kits for this model in this year.I phoned JP cycles and the guy on the other end told me all softails have forward controls??? Pretty funny because of all the forward control kits they have for FX softails.Anybody got any input here?Anybody else switch over to pegs on a 2000 heritage classic?

 

Welcome to the Forums from Central IL. Like having my boards, changed out the decks and put extensions on.

 

I don't mind the boards but I'm switching to an open primary eventually and the boards will be in my way

 

Being yours is a heritage model, and you want a peg setup. You should be looking at the FX forward control kits JP has. Providing you search out the FX forwards for the same year, they should bolt up just fine.

I have a older Heritage that has the forward peg setup. The are indeed from a FX.
