Club/Outlaw Style Softail

I am by no means an authority on clubs because I ride alone but the many that I have seen in my travels all seem to have one thing in common, they ride what they want to ride and there are several different styles of bikes in the group. As for SOA, the heck with them I am capable of picking out my own style of bike without having to copy what I see on TV.

Or, since it's your bike, do whatever you want to it and enjoy the **** out of it. That's what it's for.
And by the way, people are down on Sons of Anarchy because some people can't take being teased or called "Jax " The fact is, ape hangers and other many other cool mods wouldn't be as popular without Easy Rider. Sons of Anarchy didn't invent their style of bike any more than Easy Rider invented the chopper, but both brought a lot of attention to new ideas that caught on with bikers.
If the first WWII GI that hacked up his bike was sensitive to criticism, he would have sold it for parts and bought a used Chevy. Opinions are valuable for how to fix things, but worthless when it comes to design ideas.
Now, my worthless opinion about Softail club/thug bikes. They can look every bit as cool as a Dyna or FXR version, but it will be difficult to replicate the handling and ground clearance. Not that a Dyna or FXR could ever handle like sport bike, but the easily modified suspension is part of the draw.

You guys are funny with your style bashing.
One important part to this style that is often overlooked is the suspension. To me, my Dyna benefitted more from the suspension upgrade than any other mod. It really allows me to do things on the bike in the mountains that I couldn't do on the stocker. The added lean angle opens a lot doors to performance.
I don't have much softail knowledge, but that may not be doable.

what i mean by no one cares is, in the big scheme of things, it's your bike. do what you want to it, no one cares or should care, it's up to you. pick a style and go for it.. i've seen more bikes on here in that style than out in the club world. Just because they have it in California or some other state doesn't mean it's everywhere else. or just because some guys in some club doesn't mean it's club style. it's what you make of it. buy the bike, outfit it to your liking, ride the bike and enjoy it as much as you can.
