Hardbags for my Fatboy
1 Attachment(s)
Hi,
I know there have been a lot of posts about hardbags for Fatboys on this forum and I've looked at a lot of them. I'm looking for something specific. I like the size of the Road King bags but I want something more rounded and streamlined that matches the curve and size of the fender w the wide tire. Also, I want to make sure there is room with my V&H exhaust. I like the look of my bike the way it is (see pic) but I need more space in my saddle bags for longer trips. Any suggestions? Links? (FYI, I have smoke lenses on my bike, not those orange ones seen in the pic...) Thanks for your help. -Amy |
Bad dad makes a domed lid that follow the softail rear fender lines, they go on the hd style hard bag. So you need a bagger tail (or anyone of the varieties out there). Should be no issue w exhaust.

Just throwin this out their, you mentioned needing more storage room. q-detach tour pak mount and mounted a trunk bag. Great for long day rides when saddle bags are not needed but need to bring shiet. Thinking about mounting speakers and an amp in it. Maybe a back rest, kitchen sink and fridge too... lol

I almost bought a set of the National Cycle Cruiseliner bags for my Fatboy. I liked the fact that they are curved and follow the shape of the fender. I was planning on having them painted to match my bike. I'm still considering it, just can't do it right now.

If you haven't seen the Cycle Vision folks in San Diego (cyclevisions.com) you might look them up. They have a good bagger mount setup for softails in black or chrome that accept stand HD or aftermarket bags normally suited for a Bagger. I've set up a my '97 softail with standard HD Bags. Keep following your design concept!
