I'm Spikeless
Finally did my winter mod. Why I didn't do this in the actual winter is beyond me but at least it's done. After I got rid of the V&H BR, I wanted to change my air cleaner, hoping for a Roland Sands. But who's got $400 for one of those? Had to settle for the Kuryackyn, but didn't really have the $$$ for one of those either. Got luckly and stumbled across a nearly new Kuryackyn for $100. Well, it came today, so off with the spike, on with the Mach II.
Pros: Looks good, didn't cost $400, no more hanging breathers spraying oil mist on my bike. Cons: Not as cool as the similar Roland Sands air cleaners, my leg rubs against it, might need to re-jet (bike stumbles a bit when cold). All and all, I'm happy with the new look, including the FatCat I put on last month. http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t...2/IMG_0924.jpg Before http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t...2/IMG_0927.jpg After Bike continues to evolve. From my sig. pic, to this. Who knows, maybe there are some Choles and apes in my future. |
looks good, not a fan of the spike.
