Cool Renegade Bike

I have built several MC's for people and have the parts to build another Renegade bike. They are getting more difficult to find. However I have at least two more sets.

I have seen a few bikes that only touch upon the detail necessary to call themselves a Renegade bike. (see my pics) Even one with a springer...I know! I have spent hours pouring over available photos of that bike. I believe I know what it's made of. I have also scoured Swap Meets, and parts sources getting these hard to find parts. I have been to MC shops that were closing their doors to locate some of these parts. There are some available sources that still exist, but I feel that they wont for long.

The bikes are always admired, even to people who don't know what it is. That's the best part! I think that's the sign of a good build design. The fact that a TV show, (however campy), used this bike as a supporting character, makes it even better!

I'm working on one now. I will be able to post some pics next Summer, God Willing...

Dear HardWork,

It's not a Wide Glide as you said. But I see you have edited your message to reflect that. The Show is run daily on a National Network via H&I (Heroes & Icons) TV. I can respond to that in the near future. I'm busy this holiday season...

Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year...! Even Mr. Scrooge...

I get it...I really do..! I haven't seen that movie in ages! It used to air about once a year on late night. I'll have to look for it on Hulu, or something someday! It would be harder to find an era correct Sporty though...I love the paces that the movie put that particular Sporty through. Over hills, jumps, and lots of off road scenes. There has probably never been a more effective piece of advertising for the Harley Sportster line. It's amazing how these movie and TV icon pieces affect our psyche. Cars, or bikes. It still strikes a chord in our hearts when we see them. Think of the Captain America MC. Over 45 years later, and just recently there are now kits to build a CA replica bike. Will there ever be a "Then Cam Bronson" Sporty? Only time will tell. I'm willing to bet Michael Parks has been approached about it though...Until then, we scout through the car and bike shows, and every once in a while we see one.

Keep the shiny side up...and the dream alive!

Looks like a pretty standard evo Softail with a few bolt on extras and a flame paint job.

It's a bad copy. That's was the example of a bad replica. The paint, the bags, the engine covers, the seat, etc...just to name a few.

I don't know, the blurb that came with it said it was the bike from the show, it's shown at a bike show with a couple of other " famous " bikes.
