Default Chrome covers for saddlebag bolts

AS YOU CAN SEE I LIKE CHROME. I RIDE MOST OF THE TIME WITHOUT SADDLEBAGS ON BIKE BUT THERE ARE TIMES THEY COME IN HANDY. MAKING IT EASIER TO PUT BAGS ON I WOULD LIKE TO FIND A CHROME COVER FOR THE BOLTS RATHER THAN COMPLETELY CHANGING OUT STOCK BAG BOLTS WITH ROUND HEAD CHROME ONES. ANYONE KNOW WHERE YOU CAN GET THEM? THANKS

Nice HS! The nostalgic paint set is very nice.

I have seen the bolt covers you are looking for. I have yet to see them look good, they just don't look as bad as leaving the bolts exposed.

These folks have "bullet covers" that do what you are asking when used with their bolts:

They are as nice as I have seen, but replacing the bolts for button head units is a five minute job (total for both sides). Even less time if you have the 2003 inner fender bolt kit.

Let us know what you choose....

I was swapping out the bolts and docking points and figured I'd give the covers a try. An expensive try at $50, but they don't look to bad, but they do kind of just stick out there. lol The part numbers are 48220-10 and 48035-09. If you go to the dealer and get them 48035-09 will be found in the Touring section and 48220-10 in the multi-fit section. One is shorter one for the front docking point.

Thanks NC. Not sure if the Springers are the same. Both my bolts are the same length. Anyway I'll check it out. Beautiful Deluxe by the way.

hdonly4me:

Why are you considering buying expensive little covers?

Seems like a low-value return on investment if you are selling your bike...

Thanks and you are welcome. I wasn't thinking I guess. You may just need the short ones. The dealer should let you take one out of the package and give it a try. You selling your beautiful bike?

My garage unfortunately stays a mess it seems, but I do keep a spreadsheet of all my parts purchases...LOL (it's in my hidden files of course lol) Just a little OCD when it comes to that I guess.
