If you're referring to the clutch adjuster in the center of the clutch pack, then it should just thread right back in where it came out.

You will more than likely have to undo the cable, take the ramp apart (opposite end of the clutch) and set everything back up. You would probably have to be very lucky to have everything right back in the correct spot once you have pulled the adjuster.

I stripped out my clutch release plate (in-lbs, stupid!:icon_doh:). Picked up a new one the next day and put it all back together without having to remove or mess with the ball ramps or tranny cover. Replaced the plate, snapped in the retaining clip, and threaded the adjuster right back in. As long as you haven't been messing with the clutch lever while the adjuster screw has been out, you probably won't have much trouble. Or I'm really lucky. You'll find out soon! :icon_lolsign:

I had to remove my clutch and front sprocket to replace my stator, and I even dropped out the clutch pushrod. Never had a problem reinstalling and then adjusted the clutch per the manual. It has been a couple of thousand miles since and it works just fine.

Are you talking about the primary shoe tensioner? That is completely different from the clutch.
