Would one of you fine folks please post a pic of the frame side spring attachment point for your kickstand spring? I'm working on an 08 Heritage, it's on my jack, and I noticed the spring hanging. I pulled it off and set it aside, and now I'm having trouble understanding where it went... There are two holes it looks like it may go into, but one (upper) has the spring bent against the stand, and the other (lower, directly under upper) doesn't give any tension. I appreciate any help, and thanks in advance!

 

On my 2005 the spring hook connects to a loop.

 

Thanks, I appreciate you taking the time to post that for me. I guess it’s different on the 08, this one doesn’t have the standard bolt in jiffystand with locking tab, it’s all more of an assembly.



Here you can see wear on the frame where it looks like the spring was originally attached at the lower point. I’m guessing it’s just worn out and needs to be replaced.


This is where it’s bent around the stand. I know they don’t like that…
