Commander II's update...
Well, with 10,000 miles on them, the Commander II's on my Heritage are showing 6/32's rear and 5/32's front (9/32's F&R new)...not bad for just over 3 months worth of riding on them...and MUCH better than the Dunlops I've run up until this set, I would have had to replace them by now...
Ride is still great, as is the grip, even on wet roads, still very stable! Anyone else running them seeing good wear? |
I think mine are doing OK, I am at about 5K now on mine. Where are you measuring at? If I measure at the end of the tread groove, I am at about 3/32". If you are measuring at the inner wear bars, better. Tires for me are getting to the point of either get a job or get a Sportster if I want to stay a completely retired GI. I can't stand buying tires as often as an oil filter. A lot is riding on the Michelins--no pun intended.

That does sound good. Hope I can do that as well. I've got a Commander II on the back but had a nasty flat with 2000 miles on it. Had to ride on a really low/flat tire to get to a good location. Probably took some life out of it. Didn't run over anything. Just a bad tube that let go.

I had my doubts about 20K out of these, but I'm thinking they'll come close! |
