How's the Slim for 2-up riding?

I'm seriously considering a new Slim. I love the looks, the power and just about everything else about it, but I have to consider my better half, as she loves to ride with me.

Some of the reviews say it's awful for 2-up and touring. Anybody have experience with the missus on back, for semi-long-distance riding?

I put the removable passenger pillion on mine and the wife HATES it...but i know some of the guys on here have different seats that are better.

Ditto. Have the HD pillion on my Slim which is narrow to begin with and it gets narrower towards the rear... So it does not support the hip bone at all. Wife will do around town only. I use it to place my back pack on when I ride to work.

You just need to get a new comfy 2-up comfy seat

It's as simple as that. Find a new seat. On a side note my other half hated my stock streetglide seat and I dont blame her it was small and hard. I put on an ultra and we were both much happier. I admit it looked terrible but looks come second when comfort is needed. Besides its one screw and when I rode it solo the stock seat went back on.

I also have the pillion, just because the Slim is really a powerful, throwback bar hopper, not a tourer. Basically, my gal isn't fond of it either. But she'll do it just for some fun around town. I will be adding a sissy bar, to help her out a little.

You'd need to get a different seat to make it a comfy tourer. But that kinda changes the looks, so up to you. You'll also need bags, etc., if you really want to tour. I think a swingarm bag is about all the bike looks good with. But YMMV, and there's nothing wrong with making a Slim more tour worthy.
