Default 2012 Heritage radio suggestions

As the title says. I need suggestions on a radio for the 2012 Heritage. I am looking at

Twisted Audio radio http://www.twistedaudioradios.com/mo...softail-radio/

Pyle PLMCA64 http://www.pyleaudio.com/sku/PLMCA30...wMP3Ipod-Input

And the Harley Boom!™ Audio Cruiser http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US

Are there any others I should look at? I would prefer to have the radio built in and be a windshield mount. But am open to all suggestions.

Thansk

Bill

I like that Twisted Audio radio. To bad it won't work on a Slim.

3 years ago I spent about 250 for the cycle sounds 3 inch speakers that mounted on my handle bars. Sound was decent and very loud when parked. With my windshield off I could barley hear it. With the shield on I could hear it decent up to 55 ,, passenger couldnt hear much at all. I also didnt like that your phone or Ipod was pretty easy to steal off your bike if you went inside somewhere and forgot to remove it. I ended up taking the handle bar system off over winter and putting a fairing with stereo on.

We'll you certainly present three nice choices.
1) Twisted Audio-$650
Pros:
1) Nice looking system
2) Easy installation
3) Comes with everything including the radio. I like the fact that a mp3 player doesn't have to be fumbled with to change songs. Also, I like to listen to local radio most of the time.
Cons:
1) A bit pricey
2) attaches to windshield so forget a windshield bag or listening with the windshield off
3) No handlebar controls. Adjusting the radio going down the road could be a pain.

Pyle audio- $210
Pros-
1) handlebar speakers leaving the windshield free for a bag or to listen without the windshield.
2) Price is right
3) doesn't look to bad
4) Easy installation
Cons:
1) No dedicated radio
2) No handlebar controls

Boom Audio- $400:
Pros:
1) Harley endorsed
2) Many positive reviews
3) looks nice
4) handlebar speaker option leaving the windshield free for a bag or to listen without the windshield
5) has handlebar controls
Cons:
1) a bit pricey
2) no dedicated radio

My vote: If you're on a budget, go with Pyle, if you have a few dollars to spend go with Boom Audio or if you want something unique and have few dollars to spend go with Twisted Audio.

If I had to choose between the three, I'd go with the Boom Audio.
Or you could do what I did and go with a Sena SMH10 bluetooth headset and enjoy music, answer the phone and communicate with others while riding.

Good luck with your choice.

Pyle has alot of other systems. Some with FM tuners included. But I am not really a fan of the way speakers look mounted to handle bars. I almost never ride without my windshield on so a windshield mount would be fine.

For some reason I think the HD Boom is over priced for what it is. And the twisted audio looks good but, all black plastic at a high price.

Still searching options

Have you considered Joe's Fork Bag Stereo?? I ordered one a few weeks ago and am awaiting delivery. From the reviews everyone seems to be happy with what he's come up with.
